Cheeca Lodge project breaks new ground

Innovative approach yields a faster and greener rebuild at resort With the help of some cutting-edge construction techniques, Cheeca Lodge & Spa in Islamorada is
moving full steam toward its Dec. 15 reopening. The upscale oceanfront resort has been dormant since a New Year’s Eve fire all but destroyed its main building.
